Report: Security service allows virtual operator Easy4 to use eSIMs
MOSCOW, Oct 24 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Security Service has permitted virtual operator Easy4, firm Sonet, to sell connection services via eSIMs and identify subscribers by electronic signature through the state services portal, business daily Vedomosti reported late on Wednesday, quoting Managing Director of group Easy4 Sergei Malyshkin.
Easy4’s eSIMs differ from other virtual SIM cards by their ability to work on networks of several operators at a time, as an Easy 4 card chooses a network with the best signal quality and a price depending on the country or location of a subscriber, Malyshkin said.
The eSIM can be registered via Easy4’s mobile application, which will be integrated with the state services portal.
If a subscriber does not have an electronic signature, application EasyID scans the face, the passport and asks to put a signature on a screen and then activates the eSIM.
